Kurious Jorge Interview

Kurious Jorge is an emcee from Manhattan, NY. His first appearance was on Powerule’s 1991 single “Young Stars From Nowhere” and later on Pete Nice and DJ Richie Rich’s album Dust To Dust. With their help along with Bobbito, Kurious signed a deal with Columbia Records and released his first single “Walk Like A Duck”. His debut album, A Constipated Monkey, was released in 1994 and included the popular singles “Uptown Shit” and “I’m Kurious”. In 1999, Kurious appeared on MF Doom’s album Operation: Doomsday on the track “?”. In 2009 he released II, his sophomore album which included the singles “Drinks In The Air”, “Back From Up Unda”, and “Back With VIC”. Recently, Kurious teamed up with producer/engineer/emcee Dave Dar under the group name Bamboo Bros. The two released their group album American Jibaro in 2011, with features from Pete Rock, L-Fudge, Talib Kweli, Kendra Ross, and more. Kurious is currently working on new projects.
