DJ EFN Interview

DJ EFN is a hip hop DJ, label executive, and producer from Miami, FL. He released his first mixtape in 1993 after graduating high school, to support Miami’s underground hip hop scene. In total, he’s produced 42 mixtapes, with features from KRS-One, OutKast, Joe Budden, Redman, The Wu-Tang Clan, Capone-N-Noreaga, Bun B, and more. In 2002, EFN was named Best New Mixtape DJ at the Justo Awards. In 2003, he was named Best Mixtape DJ at Urban Music Awards. EFN established Crazy Hood Productions in the 90s, as the home for his projects. Crazy Hood manages Da Alliance, Garcia, Heckler, ¡Mayday!, Wreckonize, Big Drain, Hazardis Soundz, and Beats-N-Da-Hood. EFN executive produced albums for Da All, Garcia, and N.O.R.E., and was the A&R for projects by ¡Mayday!, Wrekonize, and Capone-N-Noreaga.
