Joaquin “Waah” Dean (Ruff Ryders) Interview

Joaquin “Waah” Dean is a co-CEO of Ruff Ryders Entertainment, alongside his brother “Dee” and sister Chivon. From Yonkers, NY, Waah is also the uncle of super-producer Swizz Beatz. He discovered DMX after asking Heavy D for advice on how to get involved in the music industry. DMX later introduced Waah to The L.O.X. and Ruff Ryders had multi-platinum stars on their roster. The label later released records with Eve, Drag-On, and Jin. In 2010, Waah and Dee revamped the label into Ruff Ryders Indy.
