The White Shadow Of Norway | Interview
The White Shadow Of Norway is a hip hop producer and DJ from Norway. In 1988 and 1989, he won two DMC Norwegian mixing championships, and then moved to New York to DJ at many popular clubs. As an extended member of Boogie Down Productions, Shadow landed cuts and co-production on Jamalski’s song “Hangin’ Tree”, which was used on the soundtrack for the film Last Action Hero. Moving back to Norway in the mid 90s, Shadow had begun collaborating with Craig G, The Roots, Kool G Rap, Army Of The Pharaohs, Supastition, Tash (Tha Alkaholiks), Easy Mo Bee, and many more. In 2004, he won the award for Best Turntablist at the Norwegian Hip Hop Awards. Shadow runs his own label, Uncut Productions, with releases from Mark Deez, Next Universe, The Pizdamen, and himself.
