Al-Shid Interview
Al-Shid is an emcee from Long Island, NY. Growing up in the same neighborhood as Public Enemy, he was inspired by the songs that Terminator X would blast from the Bronco. In 1991, Al began formed a group with his friend and performed many shows around the east coast. In 1999, Al was featured on J-Zone’s debut album, Music For Tu Madre. Since then, the two have collaborated on many projects and toured overseas with Huggy Bear. In 2006, Al released his mixtape, Fly Rap Money Vol. 1. He also released the J-Zone-produced singles “M.A.T.H.”, “The Big Hit”, “Ign’ant”, and “Fight Club”.
