Q-Unique describes BlaQ Coffee album with Brown Bag AllStars | Interview

Legendary Hip Hip figure Q-Unique of The Arsonists and Rock Steady Crew has teamed up with the entire Brown Bag AllStars to record his latest solo album, BlaQ Coffee. In this video interview with TheBeeShine, Q describes how the initial seed was planted with a beat that DJ Element sent as a one-off song. After choosing more beats and recording for an EP, the process was so effortless and smooth that Audible Doctor recommended to turn this it into a full album. Audible chimes in about how BlaQ Coffee was the quickest project he’s seen turnaround from idea to completion. Q goes on to describe how working with the Brown Bag AllStars was reminiscent of his early days with The Arsonists, as they were friends that would hang out consistently and make music together. Q also notes that coming up with ideas, the writing process, and every aspect in between are completely different than what he’s used to in the past, based on what he’s learned from working with BBAS and their approach on creating music. It is also important to note that Q-Unique stands on his own on BlaQ Coffee with no features. Purchase BlaQ Coffee by Q-Unique and The Brown Bag AllStars and stream the album below.
