Rappin’ 4-Tay | Interview
Rappin’ 4-Tay is an emcee from San Francisco, CA. His first appearance was on Too $hort’s 1988 album, Life Is…Too Short. In 1991, 4-Tay released his debut album, Rappin’ 4-Tay Is Back, and followed up in 1994 with Don’t Fight The Feelin’, which included one of San Francisco’s only nationwide hit, “Playaz Club”. The song was an ode to speakeasys with dominoes, mink rugs, body rubs, and endless champagne. In 1995, 4-Tay had two songs featured on the Dangerous Minds soundtrack. He was featured on 2Pac’s album All Eyez On Me in 1996 and Master P’s West Coast Bad Boyz 2 compilation in 1997. Rappin’ 4-Tay continues to be a consistent artist and a Frisco pioneer.
