N.O.R.E. aka Noreaga | Interview
N.O.R.E. is an emcee from Queens, NY. His career began in the hip hop duo Capone-N-Noreaga (C-N-N). They released The War Report album in 1997, praised for the traditional grimey, New York, boom bap sound. Capone’s trouble with the law pushed N.O.R.E. into a solo career venture. N.O.R.E.’s debut solo album, N.O.R.E, was released in 1998. It went platinum and featured Nas, Kool G Rap, Big Punisher, and Busta Rhymes, along with production from The Neptunes and Swizz Beatz. In 1999, N.O.R.E. released his second album, Melvin Flynt – Da Hustler. Capone returned home and C-N-N released The Reunion album. N.O.R.E.’s third album, God’s Favorite, was released in 2002 and included more production from The Neptunes. He then recorded a reggaeton album in 2006 under Jay-Z’s record label, Roc-La-Familia. In 2007, N.O.R.E. released Noreality with features from Jadakiss, Kanye West, Pharrell, Prodigy, Kurupt, and more. In 2009, C-N-N released their third album, Channel 10, followed by The War Report 2 in 2010. In 2013, N.O.R.E.’s most recent album, Student Of The Game, was released with features from Pete Rock, Pusha T, Scarface, Havoc, Large Professor, Tech N9ne, Raekwon, and more.
