Double A.B. | Interview
Double A.B. is an emcee from New York City. Beginning to rap at age 11, A.B. was performing at parties and small venues. As a teenager, he gained recognition with radio stations and magazines. In 1998, he was invited by Blaze Magazine to their rap battle competition, Blaze Battle, and later invited to compete in their Best Of The Best battle. In 2001, A.B. competed in MTV’s Direct Effect freestyle battle, earning the top 10 spot. In 2002, he released his debut full-length album, New York Minute. In 2005, he released a mixtape, Blazed & Amused, hosted by Scram Jones with features from Vast Aire, Dom Pachino, and Hangar 18. In 2008, A.B. released his second full length album, The Diesel, and his most recent album in 2012, Media Shower, with producer Dub Sonata.
