D’Meitz | Interview

D’Meitz is an emcee and U.S. Marine from Cleveland, OH. Since rapping and writing poetry in first grade, D’Meitz took his craft seriously in high school. He has participated in freestyle rap battles, winning competitions throughout the east coast, and is most known for competing in rap battles with King Of The Dot, Grind Time Now, Don’t Flop, and No Coast. While traveling with the Marines, D’Meitz released his first album in Japan in 2009, Chivalry, Solemnity, & Other Bad Ideas. Later that year, he teamed up with DJ Mick Boogie and released a mixtape, To Those With Wings. In 2011, he released the album, Mortal, showcasing his debut album with live instrumentation and a Moldovan pianist named Ilusha.
