DJ Rock Most | Interview

DJ Rock Most is a DJ, producer, and emcee from Ravenna, OH. He started rapping at age 11 and later experimented as a DJ. After graduating high school, Rock moved to Atlanta and performed at local clubs with resident DJs being Lil John and Jaycee. Rock wrote rhymes for Rasheeda before she was a Grammy-nominated artist and he’s produced for Public Enemy, Diamond D, El Da Sensei, and others. After experiencing some success as a member of the group MSEIZE, Rock ventured into a solo career in 2009 and released the album FLO (For Lovers Only). Soon after, he encountered two near-death experiences and wrote about them in the next album Rise & Shine. He describes the album as “A hybrid between traditional sample-driven hip hop and live instrumentation” and features Boog Brown, Clan Destined, Trü.ski The Transmitter, Jahah, Stan “Steam” Smith, and Cherry Royale.
