Billy Danze of M.O.P. | Interview

Billy Danze is an emcee from Brooklyn, NY. He formed a hip hop duo with Lil Fame, called Mash Out Posse (M.O.P.), and debuted in 1993 with the single “How About Some Hardcore?”. Their debut album, To The Death, was released in 1994, and heavily produced by DR Period. M.O.P.’s sophomore album, Firing Squad, featured production from Lil Fame and DJ Premier. In 1998, the group released Handle Ur Bizness EP, followed by First Family 4 Life with features from the late Guru, Treach (Naughty By Nature), O.C. (D.I.T.C.), and Jay-Z. In 2000, they released Warriorz, with the popular single, “Ante Up”. In 2005, M.O.P. released St. Marxmen, a compilation of unreleased songs they recorded with Roc-A-Fella Records. In 2006, Ghetto Warfare dropped, followed by The Foundation in 2009.
