Adam “ILLUS” Wallenta | Interview

From Central Connecticut, ILLUS has been recording music and illustrating comics since 1991, selling over 250,000 records with no airplay or record label deal. He has recorded and toured with Public Enemy, DJ Johnny Juice, R.A. The Rugged Man, Dilated Peoples, Blackalicious, and more. ILLUS has drawn artwork for J-Live, Bumpy Knuckles, J.J. Brown, and other artists, and is also the co-creator of the Public Enemy comic books. In 2010, ILLUS released his debut album, Feel Good Music, produced by J.J. Brown. Later that year, he followed up with the mixtape, Who Got The Heart? In 2011, ILLUS released his second official album, For Adam, followed by Feel Good Remixes from his first project. ILLUS’ latest album is called Family First.
