Jise One (The Arsonists) | Interview

As a member of the epic Brooklyn rap group The Arsonists, Jise One spearheaded the indie hip hop movement with the classic singles “Backdraft”, “Pyromaniax”, and “The Session”. In 1999, the group released their debut album, As The World Burns, which reached #78 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Followed up by The Arsonists’ sophomore album, Date Of Birth, Jise toured the world with Public Enemy, The Roots, and many more, expanding the scope of his scatter-brained yet, impeccably calculated storytelling. Jise is now working with Creative Juices Music, and has released two solo albums, The Chronicles 1 and The Chronicles 2.
